Jesus said:

Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me.

John 15:4

Here is a way that you can remain connected to Jesus:

Pause – Spend a few moments in prayer, asking the Holy Spirit to guide and direct your reading of the Bible.

Scripture – Write out the verse or passage of Scripture that the Holy Spirit has shown you for that day. Here are the scriptures for each day this week:

Monday December 16 Proverbs 23, Revelation 14
Tuesday December 17 Proverbs 24, Revelation 15
Wednesday December 18 Proverbs 25, Revelation 16
Thursday December 19 Proverbs 26, Revelation 17
Friday December 20 Proverbs 27, Revelation 18
Saturday December 21 Proverbs 28, Revelation 19
Sunday December 22 Proverbs 29, Revelation 20

Observation – Write down any observations you make about the scripture. Try to explain the passage in your own words.

Application – Write down how this verse applies to your life. What is God calling you to do or to remember as a result? What is your next step and how can you be obedient?

Prayer – Write out a closing prayer. Use this final section to speak back to God about a request or a commitment.

Share – Look for opportunities throughout the day or week to share with others how God spoke to you through this passage.
